The spiritual fusion of East and West means to arrive at a common understanding relating to spiritual practice and experience, which is scientific and practical, beyond the barriers of traditions, cults and superstitions of East and West. The book "Spiritual Fusion of East and West" is a collection of newspaper interviews with Dr. K. Parvathi Kumars on a large spectrum of topics, which was published in 1997 on the occasion of conferring the honorary doctorate by the Andra University, Visakhapatnam.

Among the subjects covered are Science of Time, West Approaches East, Man Know Thyself, Socialism Emerging etc.

Question: What is the exact meaning of Spiritual Fusion of East and West?

Answer: To arrive at a common understanding relating to spiritual practice and experience which is scientific and practical and is not conditioned by the religions, cults and superstitions of East and West is what is understood as spiritual fusion of East and West. It enables man to understand and experience his own potentials fully and completely to overcome the barriers of traditions, cults etc. It is a process of intelligent understanding of the energies that are around and tuning up to them to fully experience living. East is strong in certain aspects of life, West is strong in certain other aspects. The Spiritual Fusion is aimed to bring the best of the both.

Question: Is there any constructive Plan for this work?

Answer: The Plan relating to Spiritual Fusion of East and West is being carried out in many ways and at many levels according to a ground Plan conceived by the elder brothers of humanity, whom we call the Masters of Wisdom. They have been functioning to promote greater understanding between various lifestyles on the planet. They chiefly advocate yoga of the body, spiritual living in preference to spiritual power and authority and universal brotherhood in preference to the dogmas of God promoted by various cults. They have their initiates, advanced disciples and disciples through whom the yoga of the mind, the spiritual living and the universal brotherhood are being slowly and gradually established on the planet. The path and the system relating thereto are given primary importance and those who know and give the knowhow to others are called the Teachers. The head of these elder brothers of humanity, who is the Teacher of the Teachers, is called "THE WORLD TEACHER''. So the whole plan relating to Fusion of East and West is worked out under the direction of the World Teacher of the planet, who is also a disciple to a higher system for implementation of the Plan. The Plan relates evolution of the planet and planetary beings. All those who teach the system, function as true expression of the system. Their functioning itself is their teaching. Their teaching is only about the functioning of the system namely the human system, the planetary system, the solar system and cosmic system. When a spiritual aspirant practices according to a specified process in life, he falls into the system and thereafter functions in tune with the system. Man turns into a Master not by conquering the Nature but by adopting the Nature Divine. The Divine Will, Love and Light which are the potentials of the micro and macro cosmos are taught to be realized in life through practice. All good work that promotes Love, understanding, relief from distress is part of this work….

Question: How far is it possible to achieve spiritual fusion of the East and West in the present human situations?

Answer: Spiritual Fusion of East and West is particularly favourable in the present situation. In these days of developed human mind, the yoga of mind (Raja Yoga) is much more feasible. The universality of life and the universal applicability of its principles are easily understood by a fresh and simple mind not complicated by the dogmas of cults, sects and religion. The man feels fresh to make a direct experiencing of the natural function system. He is already vexed with many dogmas, superstitions where faith is demanded. Faith can never be demanded. Blind and emotional faith leads nowhere. Intelligent understanding of the forces at work is the need of the hour. Man is willing to experiment upon a given system than to be directed and ordered with a certain mystical authority. As he finds the truth in the natural system, faith develops in him and makes him to firmly hold to the system. As he finds that the system brings more and more harmony to him, his grip over the practice relating to the system grows. He therefore practices and his practice is a demonstration for others and a sweet experience to him. Open-minded people all over the planet are at present more enthused to function with the system than with the personality of a Guru. They however respect the Guru as the inevitable channel.
